5 Fun Halloween Activities

field of pumpkins

Celebrate Halloween all season long! Looking for the perfect way to keep the family entertained before trick-or-treating? I've found a few things you can add to your Spooky Bucket List.

  1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Going to a pumpkin patch can be a fun experience for the whole family. You get to pick out your very own pumpkin to decorate or carve later, and most of the time, pumpkin patches will even have fun games for the whole family to participate in.

From corn mazes to hayrides, there's sure to be something for everyone.

  1. Go to a Haunted House

You might want to reconsider this one if you have really young ones, but if you have kids or grandkids that are a little bit older and enjoy a good scare, try visiting a haunted house. There are so many that pop up around this time, you're sure to find a good one.

  1. Have a Mummy Race

Grab your toilet paper and get to twirling (now that toilet paper is back in stock)! For this Halloween party game, you're put in pairs. One teammate acts as the mummy while the other one is in charge of the toilet paper. Run around your teammate and see who can turn them into a mummy the fastest!

  1. Make Creepy Desserts

There’s nothing that says Halloween more than a ghost-shaped cookie or a monster eyeball. With cookie recipes and treats galore, Insanely Good Recipes has 24 different treats to make your Halloween extra spooky (and delicious).

  1. Try a Scavenger Hunt

By visiting your local dollar store, you can find a ton of toys or decorations for cheap. Spread them out in their own little hiding spots throughout the house, and send the family out for a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt.
